Responsible dog ownership and basic training and good manners for the
dogs are the focus of two dog obedience training programs offered by the
Humane Society of Calloway County.
The commonwealth of Kentucky has already passed a resolution endorsing the American Kennel Club® (AKC) Canine Good Citizen program, recognizing that responsible dog ownership is the key to resolving problems in the community. It is our hope to diminish the number of dogs relinquished to shelters through the education offered by the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Program and the AKC Canine Good Citizen training. Head trainers bring decades of experience to the classes. Assistant and apprentice trainers provide lots of one-on-one attention. If your dog is six months of age or younger, check out the S.T.A.R. Puppy Program. If your dog is over six months old, Canine Good Citizen training is for you and your dog. ACT NOW! Registration is limited and is first come, first served. Please direct questions or
