Monthly visits are made to residents of local nursing homes and senior centers, brightening the day for those who are no longer able to have their own pets. The pet therapy teams provide regular stress reduction to university students with visits to Murray State University’s Waterfield Library during the school year and monthly social visits to WATCH (Work and Activity Training Center for the Handicapped.) Visits to classrooms, senior centers, scout meetings and summer camps round out a very full program. If you are interested in becoming a member of our Pet Therapy Team, please e-mail Pet Therapy Coordinator Krissy Zirbel at kzirbel@cadinstitute.com.
